The border is where the file proves itself. On arrival, the importing company submits an online release request in Montaji with the consignment details (purpose, mode of transport, port of entry, customs bill of entry, packing list, batch numbers), uploads the documents, then presents the originals and the goods at the Dubai Municipality inspection area. A consignment is held when the products do not match the declared packing list, when original documents are incomplete or incorrect, or when the company carries a ban from a pending case, and non-compliant products are stopped from entering the market. Some holds end in release with detention to a Dubai warehouse, for a differed inspection, a laboratory sample or a registration still in progress, on an undertaking not to dispose of anything until permission is granted. The fines are published, not folklore: AED 1,000 per product for importing unregistered consumer products, AED 500 per certificate for document non-compliance, AED 2,000 for an unstated item, and AED 10,000 for disposing of a non-complying consignment without permission. product registration assistance service starts with a review of your product and file.
